on 20.09.2025 udw collaborates with labor münchen e.v. for a mini festival with the topic munich‘s outdoor spaces. during the day, we want to share and listen to different aspects of how we want to conceptualize and realize public places as spaces of arts, social interactions, and democracy. we do that with the example of developments on the kreativquartier 2025.
during the week the video installation is open at specific times and on request. we focus on the individual exchange between our guests from kyiv and athens with munich based initiatives and institutions. the topic connecting in progress.. describes our wish of building up new connections between the three cities kyiv, athens, and munich. there are already strong contacts, but we want to force the [sub- and counter] culture exchange more and more. note: on 24.09.2025 there will be also the last edition of real münchen e.v.‘s series let*s talk about intersectional perspectives on community spaces. the opening hours of the video installation as well as the individual meetings with munich institutions and initiatives can be requested/arranged via kyiv.munich@gmail.com︎︎︎
on the last day, 27.09.2025, the two members of udw anastasiya shtemenko and jan struckmeier together with the two guests mariia borysova [miskyi theatre, kyiv] and dimitris bampilis [stygx, athens] will share with the audience some of their works – performances and presentations. combined to a rich mental nourishment, we will cook and eat.
the whole event is based on a common ground of awareness. we don‘t tolerate any hate speech or kind of discrimination. due to the public space, we cannot guarantee a safer space, but we will do anything to prevent violence. one of the venues – außenlabor – has to be entered by a not officially compliant ramp with a half-steep gradiant. wheelchair user already were on the platform.
